The blade is hand forged from super tough 8670 high carbon steel, with a brute de forge finish, showing all the textures of the forge and hammer on the upper part of the blade. The 12 inch blade is flat ground with a convex cutting edge and 18 inch overall length. A copper guard is notched, pinned and soldered in place, for lifetime durability. This bowie is a full tang design for the ultimate strength. The handle material is crafted from stabilized cherry burl from the makers yard in Des Moines, Iowa with copper lanyard tube and loveless bolts and nickle silver pins. The custom leather sheath has no belt loops, but instead has a copper frog to secure under a belt or strap.
