Forged by hand from 80Crv2 high carbon steel, this Bowie is a magnificent tool. About a quarter inch thick at the spine with 10.25 inches of convex cutting edge, with a flat ground blade and hand sanded to a satin finish. The guard and pommel are nickel silver with brass spacers. The guard soldered to the blade for durability in a detail not often seen today. The frame style handle is crafted from stabilized spalted maple wood. The custom made leather sheath features a frog, to secure the knife under a belt or strap as well as a belt attachment on the back.
