This nessemuk is larger that most as it was designed for a large scandinavian friend. The five inch blade is hand forged from O-1 tool steel. The handle is made from Montana elk shed held in place with copper corby bolts. The bolster is also copper. The nessemuk design has been a mainstay of the woodcrafting crowd since the mid 1800s, when it was introduced by GW Sears in his classic book; Woodcraft and camping. It you are looking for a heavy woods knife, it will be hard to beat this design. Made for a lifetime in the woods.
