Hi Joel,

I think we have a plan together for a nice knife. I will use magnacut for the blade and make a four inch recurved gutting knife with the grinds we discussed. The bolsters will be nickle silver and the handle will be blue sided stabilized maple burl. A leather sheath will be included.

This grind will allow the use of stones to resharpen, although the corner of the stone must be used due to the recurved edge. The best way to sharpen will be with sharpening rod or dowel wrapped in sandpaper in order to fit in to the recurve. The bevel will extend beyond the sharp edge so there will be no abrupt end to the grind.
