Personal Knives for Everyday Carry
Bog Oak Lancet
Bog Oak Lancet
A graceful personal knife, forged from W2 high carbon tool steel. A clay hamon shows off its differential hardening with an edge hardness of RC62. The handle is crafted from local Iowan Bog Oak, over 4 thousand years old, from beneath the Nodaway river valley in Adams county. The nickle silver bolsters are soldered and pinned to the blade for durability. Two bolts, five pins and the lanyard tube in the handle are all solid nickle silver. White liners and vine filework embellish the spine. The convex edge is as sharp as the looks.. Comes with a black leather sheath.
The oak wood used on the handle is local Iowan Burr Oak that sat buried beneath the Nodaway River for thousands of years, turning it naturally a rich black and beginning the process of mineralization. It was age verified at Iowa state university with carbon dating techniques.
