Hand forged from 1084 with an aggressively angled five inch trailing point blade and convex edge. The false edge on top is unsharpened, but could be finished if desired. The handle is made from local Iowan Burr Oak that fell during the derecho several years ago. The soldered guard is brass, as are the hammered handle pins and lanyard tube. The knife comes with a horizontal carry sheath crafted from nine oz. leather.
