Adams County Carver
Adams County Carver
The blade of this mid sized carver is hand forged from W2 high carbon tool steel. The blade is differentially hardened for high performance and has a brute de forge finish on the sides of the blade, showing hammer marks and oxidation from the forging process. The spine features a beautiful run of vine filework just because we need a little more beauty in the world. The handle is crafted from 5 thousand-year-old local oak from underneath the Nodaway river valley in Adams county Iowa, just south of the shop. The guard is nickle silver and is soldered to the blade for durability. A black micarta collar is separated from the ancient wood by a nickle silver spacer. Hand honed to a razor sharp edge, this is a special tool that you will be proud to own or give.
