Forged from W2 tool steel with a 5.5 inch, flat ground and tapered blade with a clay hamon. The cutting edge is RC63 while the spine is soft and tough. The handle is dyed and stabilized maple burl, secured by three mosaic pins. Filework on the spine and tang add a nice personal touch to this handy blade.

Not limited to kitchen use, this is an all-around useful design made with beautiful materials.
