Forged from W2 high carbon steel with a clay hamon, this slender handled cleaver has an edge hardness of 60 and a tough spine. A nickel silver guard is soldered and pinned to the blade to protect the tang and handle from the gunk and moisture of the kitchen. The wood used to craft the handle is Arizona desert ironwood, beautiful and durable. Vine filework on the tang adds a decorative touch to this classic tool.
