Forged thin with a taper to the tip, this mid sized chef is handy and light, while being large enough for everyday cooking. The 5.5 inch blade is flat ground and hand honed. A clay hamon line on the blade shows the differential hardening technique that allows an RC 63 edge and a tough unhardened spine. The silver soldered guard is made from nickle silver, as are the spacer and pin. Ironwood from Arizona and Purpleheart on the collar make a solid and beautiful combination for the handle.
