Driftless Butcher

375.00

This large butcher style blade has been hand forged out of O1 tool steel to take apart anything you put in front of it.  It's a large and serious tool with about seven inches of razor sharp, convex ground cutting edge.  The nickel silver bolsters are silver soldered to the blade for a lifetime of hard use.  The handles are a bright golden mulberry wood, an Iowa native that is rarely seen, but that has fantastic hardness and water resistance.  It is finished with a natural oil and has red fiber liners and nickel silver and steel birdseye bolts.  Vine firework graces that back of the blade which is left in the Brute D'Forge style to show off the unique forging marks on the surface.  Named for the beautiful Driftless areas of Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin near the Mississippi River. Comes with a handmade leather sheath.  Oh Mama.
