Forged from W2 tool steel, this brute de forge Puukko has a 4.5 inch flat ground, differentially hardened blade with a razor sharp convex edge. The stacked leather handle has red and white spacers in five locations and a whitetail antler guard and pommel. The tang goes through the handle and is peened over a diamond washer on the antler crown pommel to secure it tightly in the traditional manner. Stacked leather handles have a wonderful solid feel and excellent grip in all conditions. This one has been treated with neatsfoot oil to condition and waterproof it. A beautiful tool, ready for the woods.
